What needs
some attention?

You do not need to wait for a crisis, or arrive with the same explanation of what is wrong.

The same conversation, again

Arguments that circle back, things left unsaid, or different ways of showing you care.

Closeness and agreements

Trust, intimacy and the expectations you want to understand or revisit together.

The life around you

Work, family, faith or different experiences of being open about your relationship.

Two men spending time together.

Two people, different experiences

Make room for
each other’s story.

Being two men does not mean you experience the world in the same way. Culture, age, family acceptance and personal history may shape what each of you needs.

We can explore those differences alongside everyday relationship concerns. You choose what feels relevant; there is no assumed role for either partner.

Start with
a conversation.

Each partner is invited to an individual session before couple work can begin. These sessions are separate from the free 15-minute consultation and help clarify expectations, confidentiality and whether joint sessions are appropriate.

Does counselling assume we are monogamous?

No. Explain the agreements and relationship structure that matter to you. Counselling can explore what each person understands those agreements to mean, without assuming one arrangement suits everyone.

What if we are open about our relationship in different ways?

You can talk about what each of you is comfortable sharing, with whom, and what those differences mean for the relationship. Counselling does not require you to disclose your sexuality to other people.

Can I come if my partner is not ready?

Yes. You can enquire about individual relationship counselling and discuss your own concerns first. Your partner will also be invited to an individual session before couple work can begin.

Find the support
that fits.

These starting points overlap. You are welcome to use the language that fits your relationship.
